FAQ's

Taxidermy orders are only processed once we have received a deposit of at least 50% of the total invoice.

When your trophies are finished we will contact you for the outstanding balance, which includes the crating fee. For overseas clients we accept wire transfers only.

We complete your export applications as soon as we receive the PH register from the professional hunter who conducted your hunt, along with a copy of your valid hunting licence.

South African Nature Conservation issues the necessary CITES export permits. Certain CITES-listed species will also require an import permit, so please obtain the correct procedure from your local wildlife conservation authority.

Once we have received final payment we notify a shipping company to contact you as soon as possible. Our liability and responsibility pass to the shipping company once the trophies have been handed over, and all shipping costs are for the client's account.

Allow roughly 6 to 8 months from start to finish for a standard order.

Skull mounts and raw prep / dip & ship orders move faster, at around 4 months. Larger shoulder and lifesize work can run closer to 10 months in a busy season — we will give you a realistic date when we take the order in.

Never let anyone put salt on your cape until all the meat has been removed, the ears turned and the lips split.

If your cape cannot be prepared properly for salting, it must be frozen or kept cool until it reaches the taxidermist. See our field preparation guide for the full picture.
